Wendy Love Edge, Don’t Be Bulldozed, Take Back Your Health, June 24, 2014

“If you want things in your life to change you have to change things in you life.” Brian Tracy

Wendy Love Edge, founder of Bulldozer Health Inc, shares how she was told she was going to die on three separate occasions. Initially she followed “Doctors orders” and eventually was taking 16 medications. “I really wasn’t living I was just existing.” She became a victim of the medical system and gave away her personal power. How did this happen, ” I believed what they told me.” The first thing Wendy needed to change on her road to recovery was her thinking. “I had to stop being a victim and take my power back. I had to take my health into my own hands.” After Wendy began changing her mind she then began educating herself about the medications she was taking and alternative health methods. “I really felt that not only was I doing this for me but I knew that I wanted to reach out to as many people as possible and help them realize that our system is so broken and that there are other things available.” One of those alternatives that Wendy utilizes is medical marijuana. She came up with four remedies to improve her health and wellness; 1) Change your mind, get your mind right, 2) Look at the Pharmaceuticals that you are taking, “it’s important that the benefit outweighs the risk.” Part of the mission of Bulldozer for Health is to get pharmaceutical commercials off the television. 3) Nutrition-food and what you’re eating is the building blocks to your health, “Eat fresh local vegetables that are in season.” Avoid high fructose corn syrup and too much sugar. 4) Exercise and Rest, “exercise has really changed my life. It has helped me to continue to lose weight and made me stronger and more able to handle my day to day life.” Exercise also decreases anxiety and improves depression. Wendy exercises about 4 to 5 times a week performing 40 minutes of cardiovascular training. Getting adequate sleep to allow the body to restore and rejuvenate is essential. “I get around 8 hours of sleep a night.” Wendy reminds us “it’s time to take back our health.”
